Introduction

Memorial markers can be made as individual as the person or persons they commemorate. You can choose the images and style that best represent the life they express.

We offer markers in your choice of granite, or bronze, or a combination of both.

We can even custom order non-traditional looking granite headstones.

Turnaround Time

Granite & bronze markers have a minimum 8-10 week wait from when they are ordered until they are placed on site.

Please note, that multiple revisions or photos may cause the turnaround time to be longer and incur additional cost.

Weathering

Bronze markers reject moss and lichens and do not wear away with the weather.

Bronze markers age over time and eventually end up with a uniform patina. They will go through a phase where the paint peels and they can look quite rough. This process can take a varying amount of time depending on weather, design, and other circumstances.

Granite markers can come with either a rock edge or a polished edge. The rock edge blends in and is more resilient.

Over time, all markers will end up with chips. Although damage is unavoidable, we do try to prevent this as much as possible.

This is more noticeable on markers that are polished on all sides.

The lettering will fade as the paint chips and fades over time, with some colours and styles being easier to read than others. Your advisor can explain how certain styles can be affected

They will need to be cleaned to prevent moss and lichen growth and staining.

Date Tabs for Bronze Markers

Most recent bronze markers year date tabs are available for a nominal fee if they are ordered before January 31st of the year after the person passes.

If the date tabs are custom, or need to be ordered for a previous year, they are subject to an additional cost.

If the marker is for 2 people, all names and birth years must be added at the time of setting, unless they are to be placed on a scroll plate at a later date.

Inscribing for Granite Markers

As granite markers inscriptions are done by an artist the scope of design is virtually endless. Granite offers a great opportunity for design freedom. Standard marker designs include 4 lines of text and a simple design, there is a custom art charge depending on the intricacy of the design.

Each time a granite marker needs to have new information added, an inscription and reset fee is charged. Oversize upright markers may need to be inscribed on site by a professional artist. The fee for this is not a standard inscription as the artist must come out to do this and charges for their time (including travel) can be quite costly. Bring your ideas to our advisor and discuss what you would like inscribed.
